About

Brady K. Miller, CSEP

Brady Miller has spent the better part of two decades working and refining his skills in both communications and events. He formed Unbricked Communications from a love of both disciplines, and now he provides event proposal design, writing, event management, graphic design, and other services to companies and individuals. His experience includes fundraising campaign launches and closings, visits of A-list celebrities and elected officials, and a wide variety of ceremonies. All told, Brady has acquired 24 industry awards, including an ILEA Esprit Award for Best Nonprofit Event.

Brady has a bachelor’s degree in journalism from Truman State University and a master’s degree in interdisciplinary studies from Indiana University. His master’s thesis focused on the role of ceremonies in academe, specifically commencement. He is a Certified Special Events Professional and a graduate of the Protocol School of Washington. Brady is regular speaker on creativity, strategic communications, protocol, and storytelling in events. His speaking credits include TEDxMHK, the Academic Event Professional conference (AEP), the North American Association of Commencement Officers conference (NAACO), and The Special Event Show.

He is extremely disturbed by sentences that end with prepositions, improper use of semicolons, and anything written in Comic Sans.

Design is not about making things pretty.

It’s about taking the correct information and presenting it in the way that best communicates your message.

Brady is able to take a theme – whether it is grand or simple – and make it memorable and meaningful while staying within a budget. He marries magical with common sense and functionality.

He was an absolute pleasure to work with, and his guidance on current event technology was invaluable during a recent site visit for me!

Bethany Wood

Sr. Special Events Coordinator, Alzheimer's Association

Brady labored not only over the big picture but over all the tiny details that take an event from good to fantastic. He was honest, clear in his communication with me, and a consummate planner.
